Everyday, throughout the day, little things remind me of her.\u00a0 Each thought, like a beautiful flower, is now a cherished memory that I tend to with care so as not to lose it.\u00a0 When I think of the plants I have grown in my own garden, there are many plants that hold dear memories for me.\u00a0 They remind me of times I spent with my mom, sometimes tending to the flowers and sometimes just sitting back and enjoying them together.\u00a0 So my memories are, in many ways like a garden, where I walk with love for my mom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<pre class=\"wp-block-verse has-text-align-center has-white-color has-text-color has-background\" style=\"background-color:#4a92be\">\n\n<strong>My Garden of Memories<\/strong>\r\nBy Krista Longeway\r\n\r\nI stroll through my garden of memories, \r\nSlowly wandering with love here and there\r\nAdmiring each of the flowers and trees\r\nAnd gently tending to them with great care\r\n\r\nThe sweet baby\u2019s breath and forget-me-nots\r\nA happy reminder of my childhood\r\nOf playtime in warm sunny garden spots\r\nAnd family picnics in a shaded wood\r\n\r\nThe blooms of peony and columbine\r\nMemories of days gardening together \r\nOf sharing many thoughts and dreams of mine\r\nYou were there for me in any weather\r\n\r\nThe geranium and flowing ivy\r\nReminders of a sunny patio\r\nWhere we often sat while sipping our tea \r\nIt seems like only a short time ago\r\n\r\nThe bearded iris and the hollyhock\r\nLine the paths in this sweet garden of mine\r\nThey whisper of you wherever I walk\r\nWhether in the shade or in the sunshine\r\n\r\nThere are wildflowers of every kind\r\nIn surprising places the poppies grow\r\nLike happy thoughts of you that come to mind\r\nAlthough from where they come I do not know\r\n\r\nMy dearest, if thoughts of you were flowers \r\nWhere leaves rustled when the soft breezes blew\r\nWhether summer sun or spring-time showers\r\nI\u2019d wander my garden all day with you\n\r\n<\/pre>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I didn\u2019t realise how often I think of my mom until she was gone.
