I would go to fill a need for fellowship, enjoy some music, and to reconnect with scripture in a meaningful way. Although these are all valid reasons to go to church, recently I have come to realize that going to church isn\u2019t just about me.\u00a0 Church is a place where I go to worship the God who made and sustains me.\u00a0 It is a place where I can join fellow Christians as I praise and thank the Lord for his great presence in my life.\u00a0 So I invite you, if you have had moments where you wondered why you go to church, to think about church as an opportunity for praise and worship.\u00a0 It is not just about you.\u00a0 It is about thanking the Lord for all of the blessings in your life and praising him for all he has done.\u00a0 Put aside all of the things that get in the way and bring all your cares and worries to the altar of the Lord.\u00a0 Come to the Lord just as you are.\u00a0 For He is a loving God who has the power to bring peace and joy to your life in ways that nothing else can.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<pre class=\"wp-block-verse has-text-align-center has-black-color has-text-color has-background has-link-color wp-elements-61c7ee4d2648a613a87346bd8b470dd1\" style=\"background-color:#98afcb\">\n\n<strong>Just as You Are<\/strong>\nBy Krista Longeway\r\n\r\nAll who are weary, come here to this place\r\nCome and worship the Lord just as you are\r\nBring with you all of the struggles you face\r\nFor God\u2019s loving presence is never far\r\n\r\nBring with you all the mistakes you have made\r\nBring with you all the triumphs and the strife\r\nBring with you all the choices that have played\r\nA strong and meaningful part in your life\r\n\r\nSet them all at the altar of the Lord\r\nLet go all that weighed you down through the years\r\nIt is here that you have your hope restored\r\nHere you are freed from your worries and fears\r\n\r\nSo come to this place to worship with me \r\nCome to our faithful Lord just as you are\r\nAnd as you worship with me you will see\r\nThat God\u2019s loving presence is never far\r\n\r\n\r\n<\/pre>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I have recently come to a realization that has changed the way I look at going to church.\u00a0 In the past, I have always thought that going to church was something I did for myself.
