As a father has compassion\u00a0on his children,\u00a0so the\u00a0Lord\u00a0has compassion on those who fear him\u2026<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-ad992f2deb57a573f0d8e1b950d03c08 wp-block-paragraph\">Sometimes the burdens of my past lay heavy upon my heart.\u00a0 I think of past mistakes or heartbreaks and am weighed down as I dwell upon how I could have done things differently.\u00a0 It is easy to look back at things I have done or words I have said and realize that I have made mistakes, however good-intentioned I might have been at the time.\u00a0 Yet Jesus offered us a way out of these ruminations when he gave his life for us.\u00a0 In that sacrificial act, Jesus took these sins as far from us as the East is from the West.\u00a0 Can you imagine a distance greater than this?\u00a0 Our sins are completely removed from our presence and erased for all time.\u00a0 We can let go of any past mistakes, knowing that God has forgiven us.\u00a0 So what do you need to let go of at this time?\u00a0 Lay down the burden of your past and forgive yourself just as God has forgiven you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<pre class=\"wp-block-verse has-text-align-center has-black-color has-pale-cyan-blue-background-color has-text-color has-background has-link-color wp-elements-34e51e7f866ef7cfad7ab19f1bc39670\">\r\n\n<strong>As Far as the East is from the West<\/strong>\nBy Krista Longeway\n\r\nAs I reflect upon my past\r\nI feel like I am sinking fast\r\nMy shame and guilt come rushing in\r\nThoughts of my past mistakes begin\r\nTo overwhelm my thoughts again\r\nMy many heartbreaks and past pain\r\nAre just as clear as yesterday\r\nYet somehow You have found a way\r\nTo forgive every word and deed\r\nYour grace is truly all I need\r\nIn order to feel whole again\r\nYou gave your life to ease my pain\r\nSo that by your side I can stay\r\nYou cast each of my sins away\r\nFar as the east is from the west\r\nAnd now I can have peace and rest\r\nFor Your compassions never fail\r\nAnd Your love will always prevail\r\nAs deep as the deepest oceans\r\nAs high as the distant heavens \r\nAs wide as the winds that blow free\r\nIs Your redeeming love for me\r\n\r\n\r\n<\/pre>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Psalm 103:11-13 For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his love\u00a0for those who fear him; as far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions\u00a0from us.
