Mark 11:24<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Mark 11 we are instructed to pray and thank God as though what we have been asking for has already been given.\u00a0 That sounds simple, but when you get right down to it, this requires a lot of faith.\u00a0 Faith that God hears our prayers and knows our hearts.\u00a0 Faith that God will choose to give us the answers and requests that we ask for as we pour out our cares to Him.\u00a0 I want to be that person who has unwavering faith.\u00a0 I want to believe that all I need to do is ask and it will be given to me.\u00a0 But a part of me struggles to believe that whatever my heart wants will be granted.\u00a0 I know that God has the power to make anything happen if he chooses to.\u00a0\u00a0 Yet sometimes what we want and what we need are two different things. God has His reasons for answering some prayers and not others, though I may not understand it. So my greatest prayer is that my heart is in tune with God\u2019s will and that my hopes and requests are pleasing to Him. When I pray this prayer I am choosing to trust in God\u2019s perfect plan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n\nBelieve<\/strong>\r\nBy Krista Longeway\r\n\r\nI kneel and gently fold my hands in prayer\r\nThen I close my eyes and lay my soul bare\r\nMy whispered hopes and fears are all laid out\r\nFor God to clearly see and hear about\r\nI do this even though I\u2019m sure it\u2019s true\r\nThat He knows my heart and already knew\r\nAll I would ask before I said amen\r\nI try to trust and believe once again\r\nThat what I ask for will now come to pass\r\nFor the Bible says I just have to ask\r\nSo I quietly thank God even though\r\nI have great faith but I don\u2019t really know\r\nIf my prayers are now in line with God\u2019s will\r\nYet I kneel down and thank him even still\r\n\r\n<\/pre>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
