Is it deep?&nbsp; Does it keep you standing, firmly planted in the earth until the storm subsides and the sun shines down again?&nbsp; Or do your fears get the better of you?&nbsp; Do you give in to the storms and allow them to take over?&nbsp; Thrashing you around like a tree in the wind?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color wp-block-paragraph\">To me, these are difficult questions that can only be answered by a belief in a loving God.\u00a0 What else stands steady and unchanging amidst the storms of life?\u00a0 People change, life\u2019s circumstances change, I change\u2026 Yet my faith remains, deeply rooted in my belief that there is more to this life than the changing weather of my everyday existence.\u00a0 Maybe you believe as I do, or maybe you place your faith in other things.\u00a0 <strong>Is it strong? Is it deep?\u00a0 Does it keep you firmly planted in the earth?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<pre class=\"wp-block-verse has-black-color has-text-color\"><strong> <\/strong>                      <strong>Deep Roots<\/strong>\r\nWhen the storms of life rage on around me.\r\nWhen the cold winds blow, and the rains come down.\r\nI stand there, shivering like a tall tree, \r\nMy branches bend as I\u2019m blown all around\r\nAnd I reach for something to support me\r\n\r\nWhen clouds are thick and I can\u2019t see clearly,             \r\nWhen rain pours down, drowning all in its wake.\r\nI try to cling to those I love dearly,\r\nAlone, I don\u2019t have the strength it will take.\r\nIt is times like these when God draws near me.\r\n\r\nFaith holds me firm as the storms rage outside.\r\nLike strong roots reaching deep into the ground.\r\nMy strongest anchor and my wisest guide.\r\nOnly faith can explain the strength I found,\r\nFor I know that soon the storm will subside.\r\n\r\nThe clouds will move on until there are none.\r\nThe winds will ease and the sky will be calm.\r\nThe rain will stop and the storm will be done.\r\nAnd I will be here standing straight and strong,\r\nLike a tree\u2019s branches held high in the sun.\r\n<\/pre>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Where do you place your faith when the storms of life arise?&nbsp; What do you cling to when the cold winds blow and the rain pours down relentlessly?&nbsp; Is it strong?
