The impossible variety and the sheer magnitude of these things confirms for me that the earth and everything in it is more than chance.\u00a0 Only an infinite God could create something so complex and beautiful.\u00a0 On an intellectual level, this is one of the ways that being in nature feeds my faith. At a more emotional level, it is the indescribable beauty of nature that inspires me to dream, to write, to live my life with a sense of purpose and joy. Often, it is this impossible beauty of nature that brings me hope and a belief that God is a part of everything around me.\u00a0 At the same time, I am aware that I must make a conscious choice to be grateful for the beauty that surrounds me and to focus on the many blessings in my life.
