A lot of the time I think in words, which helps me to make sense of my thoughts.\u00a0 Yet there is a struggle that rages deep within me that is hard to put into words.\u00a0 It is a constant barrage of thoughts that I strive to chase out of my mind.\u00a0 Images and feelings that I can\u2019t quite put my finger on, nor can I put words to these thoughts. As I fight this battle deep in the silent chambers of my soul, I feel lost and confused.\u00a0 I feel like I need to tame these thoughts, for there always seems to be so much at stake \u2013 my hope, my happiness, my peace of mind.\u00a0 Yet I know that through it all, God is there fighting beside me\u2026 giving me the courage I need to fight through my struggles.\u00a0 In the end, God will light the way.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<pre class=\"wp-block-verse has-text-align-center has-black-color has-blush-light-purple-gradient-background has-text-color has-background\">\n\n<strong>Silent Chambers of the Soul<\/strong>\r\n -Krista Longeway\r\n\r\nA constant surge of thoughts swirls in my head\r\nSo many words that often go unsaid\r\nI fight a battle that no one else sees\r\nA struggle that can bring me to my knees\r\nDeep in the silent chambers of my soul \r\n\r\nI fight against the pictures in my mind\r\nAs I put on the mask I hide behind\r\nI try to make sense of the things I see\r\nA narrative that must not define me\r\nAs I battle in the chambers of my soul\r\n\r\nSo back and forth they battle to the death\r\nTill I am left trying to catch my breath\r\nIt always seems like there\u2019s so much at stake\r\nWill I then tame these thoughts or will I break?\r\nDeep in the silent chambers of my soul\r\n\r\nYet there is light within these battles fought\r\nA spark of hope within each trembling thought\r\nI reach for that which helps me to defend\r\nI wonder who will win this in the end?\r\nAs I battle in the chambers of my soul\r\n\r\nGod is the light that helps me through it all\r\nGod is the hope that helps me not to fall\r\nI put my trust in what I know is true\r\nAnd with this hope I finally fight through\r\nThe battle that rages deep in my soul\r\n\r\n<\/pre>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Do you think in pictures or in words?\u00a0 I often wonder if it is the same for me and you.
