Psalm 46:1-3
God is our refuge and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble. So we will not fear, even if earthquakes come and the mountains crumble into the sea. Let the oceans roar and foam. Let the mountains tremble as the waters surge.
There are times when it feels as though our lives are falling apart. We may encounter a situation that feels wildly out of our control or we may experience something that shakes us to the core of our being. These are the moments when we most need the strength of the Lord. We need to know that despite any difficult circumstances, God will remain steady and unchanging. We need to know for certain that He will be our strength in these times of trouble. When we read scripture, this is the very God that is described. A God that is there beside us, no matter if everything else is falling to pieces and it feels like we have no power to change it. God is that firm rock that we can stand upon. He is the refuge that we seek.
Though Mountains May Crumble By Krista Longeway God is my refuge in times of trouble Though the earth may quake and turn to rubble God is my greatest strength when I feel weak He is the steadfast refuge that I seek Though waters surge as the seas roar and foam God is there no matter how far I roam And He will stand here firmly beside me Though mountains may crumble into the sea
