It is nearly Christmas, and miraculously, we have been blessed by a winter storm that will give us the white Christmas we had hoped for. Most of the time, I am grateful for the mild climate here in Victoria – the short winters, the warmth of an early spring, the long summers and the beauty of fall. This is part of the reason we chose to live by the ocean. Yet every year I hope that we receive at least a little bit of snow around the holidays. So today, as I watch the snow softly fall from the sky, I count my many blessings. Today I put aside the busyness of the season and pause to enjoy the beauty of a snowy winter’s night.
